Grampanchayat Mudza

Mudza is a scenic village with historical heritage located in Gadchiroli taluka of Gadchiroli district. Situated just 10 km from the district headquarters, the village is well connected to the city by road. Being located in the fertile basin of the Wainganga River, the land here is extremely fertile, leading to significant agricultural progress.

The social structure of the village symbolizes diversity and unity. Tribal and non-tribal communities live here in harmony. The village deities Hanuman Temple and Bhavani Mata Temple are places of worship, and festivals like Mandai, Dandari, and Pola are famous throughout the region. Combining tradition with modernity, the village has preserved social harmony.

Economically, Mudza is primarily an agriculture-based village. Paddy (Rice) is the main crop, with increasing trends towards pulses, vegetables, and fisheries. Women empowerment is actively pursued through Self Help Groups. The youth are highly educated and bringing laurels to the district in competitive exams, sports, and technology.

Moving forward, Mudza Gram Panchayat has adopted the "Smart Village" concept. Our next goals include complete sewage management, 100% solar street lights, digital GP services, and a plastic-free village. We are marching towards sustainable development with the motto "Clean Village, Beautiful Village".
